Graphic Glass Painting

During this workshop, you will create a design for a unique glass plate. If you already know what you want, we will help you get your piece of glass art as close as possible to what you have in mind, while keeping the opportunities and limits of glass in mind. Of course you don’t have to have a vision to attend this class. Feel free to get inspired while you work! You will get to paint your design on the plate with special glass powders and paint. For a graphic look you will work with only black, white and grey colors. This means there is more focus on the form, texture and patterns of your artwork. As a result, you usually get a very refined and modern looking finished product.

The materials are burned into the glass kiln at 740 °C – which makes your creations washable and dishwasher safe. You can choose between a round or square shape. Get creative with making your own stylish eye-catcher for your dinner table: A unique piece of home decor that will be truly one-of-a-kind.

Prices

The price of this workshop is 20€ per person. Every participant will get 1 plate. There is no prior knowledge in glass art needed to attend this class, we will help you with everything you need to know.  It will take about one and a half to two hours, but we can arrange individual sessions if you want to stay longer or make more. There is no prior knowledge about glass art needed. Contact us for more information and please let us know your preferred time to attend so we can work out how to schedule the classes!

 

Note that your plate has to stay in the kiln for a while before it is finished, so you can’t take it home with you straight away. If you aren’t in Riga for long enough but still want to take part in the workshop, we can arrange shipping for you.
