Our glass artist will help you soldier them, so your finished product has a professional look.

About the Tiffany Technique

The Tiffany Technique is a glass assembly technique invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933). He was inspired by the ancient tradition of glassmaking – especially by the rich coloration of medieval glass – and wanted to improve the methods his contemporaries used, because they didn’t achieve the quality of glass he was looking for. This inspired Tiffany to develop his own technique to assemble stained glass. His method made it easier to preserve the color in an artwork, while also being thinner and more delicate. The technique revolutionized the art of glass making and made it easier to create intricate pieces with stained glass – like the famous Tiffany lamps.
